Standard EBook Conversion – The standard package is based on a straight text digital format (no tables, charts, etc or complex formatting) – Word, InDesign, PDF and Html – of 285 pages or less and 100,000 words or less being converted to Kindle & ePub. It includes the first 10 images free, not including the book cover. (We automatically include the fully completed cover as part of the book.) It does not include ISBNs.

Other Source Formats – Other source formats may cost extra. Please contact us for details.

Bulk Pricing – We offer reduced prices to authors or publishers who have multiple titles to convert when they are scheduled at the same time. contact us for a quote.

Copy-editing – We provide professional copy-editing services through Charlie Wilson ‘The Book Specialist’. See our EBook Copy-editing page for more details.

Proofreading – We can offer our clients a professional proofreading service via specialist proofreader Charlie Wilson. See our EBook Proofreading page for more details.

ISBN – We charge £15 per ISBN.

Scanning – Prices start at £30 for scanning a loose leaf document of up to 150 pages. Books are then charged on a per page basis on a sliding scale. If the manuscript is bound, i.e. a printed book, there will be an additional charge to cover either cutting the binding or the difficulty of scanning a bound book. Contact us for more details.

OCR – We charge per page because of the line by line checks against the original text involved with the OCR process. A straight text book, such as a fiction book, will be charged at a different rate from a non-fiction book with images and more complex formatting. Contact us for more details or a quote. (We will need to know the details of the book.)

Images – The first ten images in your book are free. The cost afterwards depends on the amount, size and intended layout. Contact us for more details or a quote.

Indexes – Active indexes can make all the difference to the enjoyment of a non-fiction book. A good index helps the reader find their way around the book. Depending on the index they can be quite time consuming to do. Please contact us for more details or a quote.

Tables – We can put properly coded tables in your book in the form of Html tables or we can also put your table in the form of text (See Tables). We can also treat tables as images because of the inconsistencies of how tables are handled and displayed across the different platforms and devices. Tell us on the Quote form if you want them included as images and include them in the image count. There is an extra charge if you have tables in your book.

Book Cover Design – See our links to our specially selected book cover designers on our EBook Cover Design page. We automatically embed the fully completed cover in your book as standard.

Website Design – It is important to have a website to promote your book and yourself. EBooks by Design can create and design your website for you. Contact us for a quote.

Publishing – We do not charge to upload your books to the various retailers’ websites using your own accounts.

Promotion & Marketing – We can advise you on marketing and promotion – there is no charge for this service. Or we can put you in touch with a reputable book marketing company.
